The NSW Electoral Commission has confirmed a by-election for Mid-Western Regional Council will be held on Saturday, 7 December. Due to the resignation of a sitting councillor, a casual vacancy exists and a by-election will be conducted.

If your enrolled address is in the Mid-Western Regional Council Area, you must vote in this by-election. Voting options for this by-election will include: pre-poll (early voting) at a pre-poll venue, voting in-person at a polling place on election day, postal voting, and telephone assisted voting for electors who are blind or have low vision.

Nominations for the Mid-Western Regional Council by-election commence from Monday 28 October to 12 noon Wednesday, 6 November 2024. For more information and key dates visit elections.nsw.gov.au

Non-residential roll application

You are eligible to vote in the Mid-Western Regional Council (MWRC) area as a non-resident if:

  • You are the owner of rateable land in the MWRC Local Government Area
  • You are a rate paying lessee in the MWRC Local Government Area

Applications must be received by 6:00pm Monday, 28 October 2024.All applications will be verified by Council’s General Manager and provided to the NSW Electoral Commission for inclusion on the roll. To submit an application please email council@midwestern.nsw.gov.au
