Changed Parking Conditions in Gulgong

Council will be conducting road works on Nandoura and Belmore Streets near Gulgong Public School and Gulgong High School starting from 8 July.

In consultation with both schools, Council has identified challenges with parking in these areas. After a comprehensive review of parking and zoning arrangements, several recommendations have been made to improve traffic flow, safety, and visibility.

These recommendations will be implemented during the upcoming July school holidays and include:

• Converting the existing no parking zone on Nandoura Street (8am-9.30am) in the school pick-up and drop-off area to include no parking from 2.30pm-4pm.

• Converting rear-to-kerb angle parking to unrestricted parallel parking from the corner of Nandoura Street to the intersection at Lynn Street.

• Expanding the no-stopping area where Nandoura Street meets Belmore Street.

• Constructing a parallel accessible parking bay on Belmore Street.

• Refreshing line markings and signage.

Motorists must adhere to traffic signage in the affected areas during this period to ensure the safety of all road users. Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
