In partnership with the NSW Government's NSW Small Business Month 2023 Grant Program, Council is set to host a free small business event "The Power of Resilience and a Growth Mindset in Business."

The event to be held on Thursday, 26 October at the Mudgee Arts Precinct from 5.30pm to 7.00pm aims to support local small businesses by offering valuable insights into resilience and a growth mindset so business owners and employees can strengthen their businesses.

The evening will commence with a networking opportunity over nibbles, followed by a speaking session from Pearl Daly-Swords. The Mudgee-based owner and director of The Centre of Executive Development will share valuable insight on resilience and growth mindset for business owners and their respective teams. Attendees will be provided with practical tips on how to “bounce back” in the face of adversity, challenges, and the unexpected.

Mayor Des Kennedy has recommended this event to small business owners in the region.

“Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain knowledge from a professional who has coached leaders around Australia and internationally. This is a wonderful opportunity for our small business owners to gain valuable skills that will enhance their business performance” – Des Kennedy said.

Pearl Daly-Swords has 20+ years of practical human resource and consulting experience, certificates in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), brain-based coaching, and the neuroscience-backed, leadership profiling tool PRISM; and undergraduate and doctorate degrees in science. She is an experienced keynote speaker who has previously presented at Mid-Western Regional Council’s Central West Young Entrepreneurs Summit in Mudgee.

Small business owners are encouraged to attend this informative event.
