Council is offering funding and in-kind support through its bi-annual Events Assistance Program opening this Saturday (1 March).
The Program is open to not-for-profit events that are being held from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025.
Events with proven success of at least two years can apply for multi-year funding of up to three years in the one application form.
All events requesting 100 per cent in-kind assistance (for activities such as field or venue hire, traffic management and waste services) will receive 10 bonus points in the scoring review.
General Manager, Brad Cam said the program has been supporting local events for many years.
“Most recently we’ve provided funding to a range of events including the Gulgong Gold Cup, Kandos Street Machine and Hot Rod Show, Gulgong Prince of Wales Eisteddfod, Rylstone Rodeo Bull-A-Rama, Mudgee Dressage Official Day, Rylstone Swap Meet, Cancruise, FITASC Oceania Sporting
Championship and CWA Kandos Gardens Fair 2024,” Mr Cam said.
“We are encouraging event organisers to apply now for funding of up to $3,000 for events taking place in the second half of the year.”
“The program is designed to provide funding assistance to community events which benefit the local economy and attract visitors to the region.”
Applications can be lodged online via Council’s website.
