Flavours Of Mudgee Returns With Large Crowds
Published on 30 September 2024
This year's Flavours of Mudgee event attracted a significant crowd, with over 12,000 attendees converging on Mudgee's CBD, up from approximately 10,000 in 2023.
Of those attending, 50% were visitors from outside the region, while the rest were local residents. Based on visitor numbers, overnight stays, and postcode data, the event is estimated to have generated $1.6 million for the local economy.
General Manager Brad Cam commented, “Flavours of Mudgee is coordinated by Council and has established itself as one of the state’s premier wine and food events over the past eleven years. It’s a shining example of Council’s commitment to fostering a healthy local economy while supporting the region’s tourism sector."
"On behalf of Council, I extend our thanks to all the stallholders and businesses whose efforts contributed to the success of this year’s event."
Council received $30,000 through Destination NSW’s Regional Event Fund to promote the event both locally and statewide.
Flavours of Mudgee will return on Saturday, 27 September 2025.
