Council can reveal tickets to the highly anticipated NRL Telstra Premiership Round 25 game in Mudgee, featuring four-time premiership winners the Penrith Panthers, will go on sale to the public on Friday, 2 May at 123tix.com.
The Panthers will take on the Canberra Raiders at Glen Willow Stadium on Friday, 22 August, kick-off at 6pm.
Mayor Des Kennedy said the fixture is part of a two-year agreement with the Panthers for 2025 and 2026.
“We’re thrilled to finally welcome the Panthers to town for their first game in the region, and the Raiders back for their third game,” Cr Kennedy said.
“We’ve had huge interest in this game, and I have no doubt it will be well attended so I encourage residents to get in early and get their tickets at 123tix.com on 2 May.
“NRL games bring huge economic benefits to the region, from visitors staying locally, eating out and shopping in the region.
“In February, $1.67 million was injected into the local economy as a result of the Charity Shield.”
Ahead of the game, the Panthers will host their Play Like a Panther Clinic for local children.
Tickets start at $30 for adult general admission, $20 for concession card holders, and $20 for child general admission.
