Playgrounds, skate parks and dog parks throughout the region have reopened today in response to changes to NSW Government Health Orders this week.

This includes the opening of the Jennie Blackman Dog Park to the public, located adjacent to the Glen Willow footbridge on the Glen Willow side. The former Mudgee Dog Park will now be closed permanently.

Kandos Skate Park will be closed tomorrow for the removal of dangerous trees and will reopen on Friday (17 September).

On Monday (13 September) the NSW Government advised gatherings of up to five people are permitted for outdoor recreation so long as all those at the gathering aged 16 years or over are fully vaccinated. These people must have their proof of vaccination at all times and show to police if requested.

Fully vaccinated means you have had two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination or have a medical contraindication certificate issued to you.

The five person limit on these gatherings does not include children aged 12 or under.

Residents are permitted to go outdoors with members of their household or one person you do not live with.

All residents must continue social distancing and mask wearing.
