Council is disappointed to announce that the recently upgraded Kandos adventure playground has been vandalised, resulting in significant damage and graffiti. The cost of repairs will amount to thousands of dollars, diverting funds from other essential community projects.

This is not an isolated incident, with the Lawson Park playground and the amenities block on Douro Street also recently targeted. Such vandalism undermines Council’s efforts to upgrade and maintain safe, enjoyable public spaces for our residents and visitors.

Council urges anyone with information on these incidents to report it to Council or the police immediately. Community vigilance is crucial in preventing further damage and ensuring public spaces remain safe for everyone.

To report an incident, in the first instance, please report the matter to the nearest police station or contact the Police Assistance Line (13 14 44). Alternatively, call Council on 6378 2850. By working with Council, the community can help protect its assets and ensure resources benefit all residents. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
