Ulan Road works continued

A section of Ulan Road (between Lawson Creek North and the entrance to Mudgee Racecourse), will be closed next Thursday, 16 January for asphalt resurfacing.

This section of Ulan Road is expected to be closed from 6am to 4pm, weather permitting.

The asphalting marks the completion of the first stage of works with the second stage, on the northern entrance to Mudgee, commencing on Monday, 20 January.

These works will be undertaken in sections between the Short Street roundabout and Lue Road with the road closed to through traffic.

Access to Mudgee Nursery will remain and customers should follow the directions of the traffic controllers and signage in place.

The road will be open to normal traffic on weekends and these works are expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

During the works, the detour route will be via Market Street, Putta Bucca Road, and rejoining Ulan Road at the Henry Lawson Drive intersection.

River Drive at Glen Willow Sporting Complex is not a designated detour route and will be closed overnight.

Motorists are encouraged to follow detours through Mudgee and Putta Bucca Road. Council appreciates your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our region’s road network.
