Working the Waters exhibition

Mudgee Arts Precinct’s latest exhibition, Working the Waters is now open to the public.

The exhibition has been curated by Ann Finegan, a renowned arts educator and co-founder and former co-director of the Cementa Contemporary Arts Festival in Kandos.

Ann Finegan has brought together a collection of works spanning over a decade in creation that investigate our complex relationship with water and its cultural, environmental, spiritual and social impacts. The collection of immersive time-based projections and installations showcase grandeur through cinematic scale and invite the audience to contemplate the landscape through the many contradictions of human psychology.

Working the Waters features local artists Christine McMillan, Josephine Starrs and Leon Cmielewski, and Terry Burrows exhibiting with Sue Pedley and Tina Havelock Stevens, all of whom are among NSW’s most important artists currently working in digital media. All artists have previously exhibited in Cementa.

The exhibition continues Mudgee Arts Precinct’s acknowledgment of the importance of providing a platform to the many talented artists from within our region and is the first of its kind to be shown at the gallery.

The exhibition is on display now and will close on 28 May.

Mudgee Arts Precinct is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm. Entry is free.
