Roadside Vegetation Management Plan

The Roadside Vegetation Assessment Report documents the methods and findings of the Roadside Corridor Survey (2011).

The Roadside Corridor Management project begn in 2011 with a grant funding from the NSW Environmental Trust and Local Government and Shires Associations of NSW. This project:

  • Assessed, ranked and mapped roadside corridor conditions within the Mid-Western Regional Council Local Government Area 
  • Prioritised areas for actions and provided management guidelines aimed at improving habitat values and remnant vegetation condition particularly in identified high conservation value areas
  • Identified Threatened Species (or potential habitat) and communities and regionally significant species and communities
  • Provided tools for assessment that are repeatable and provide qualitative and quantitative data for analysis, assessment and reporting
  • Undertook on ground rehabilitation works including weed and erosion control on area of high conservation value
