Mid-Western Regional Council, Dubbo Regional Council and Narromine Shire Council are working together collaboratively to deliver a school resource recovery education program that links to the school curriculum, aiming to encourage positive waste behaviours in young people while addressing NSW Department of Education key learning areas.
Primary school programs
Council funds the provision of fun, engaging workshops where students learn about issues surrounding waste and resource use. The workshops provided are curriculum linked and are delivered at no cost to schools.
Program information for 2023 will be made available soon, please check back at the end of Term 4 2022 for information on the program and how to register.

High school programs
In collaboration with Taronga Western Plains Zoo and Wambangalang Environmental Education Centre, Mid-Western Regional Council, Narromine Shire Council and Dubbo Regional Council are providing syllabus linked waste education workshops to students in years 7-10 as part of an interactive and fun day out at the zoo.
