Council, together with Transport for NSW is running the 'Spot Joe Rider' motorcycle safety campaign from Monday 28 October to Saturday 2 November 2024.
Joe Rider aims to reduce the occurrence of SMIDSY (Sorry Mate I Didn't See You) crashes and encourages drivers and their passengers to spot 'Joe Rider' and enter a competition. We want all road users to look out for and notice motorcycle riders. Joe Rider is a group of volunteer motorcyclists dressed in a yellow 'I AM JOE RIDER' vests. Report your sighting and go in the draw to win a daily prize of $50 'Mudgee Money' Vouchers. Spot 'Joe Rider' and help motorcyclists Ride to Live.
If you spotted a Joe Rider motorcyclist wearing their high visibility vest, record which road, area and time you spotted 'Joe' and enter into the daily draw to win a $50 'Mudgee Money' voucher.
Competition opens 8am Monday, 28 October 2024 and closes 5pm Saturday, 2 November 2024. Winners will be contacted via phone to collect their voucher.
