Mudgee Lions Eye Health Programme for Children |
The Mudgee Lions Club’s Eye Health Programme has screened over 670 children across 13 schools, detecting potential vision issues in 134 cases. Volunteers travelled 1,300 km to provide this vital service, ensuring children access necessary care. |

David Bruce Lester |
Family man and farmer David Bruce Lester was a fourth-generation Mudgee resident who volunteered for countless organisations. Amongst many other achievements, David served as Captain of the NSW RFS Piambong Brigade for over 50 years and was awarded the Commonwealth Australian Sports Medal in 2000. |
